Model Portfolio review and 2 Swing Ideas HOG & LVS

I was stopped out from my GWRE long at 120.51, well that is interesting because the low reported for the day is 120.53. Anyway I came with a 5.42% profit in 12 trading days.

My AXP position is still on, the stock must be able to stay above today’s low of 134.90, if that level is breached I’ll be stopped out with a small profit hopefully.

This is a good long formation, a series of lower lows is stopped by a higher low

The breakdown below the long consolidation is promising

Model portfolio review Feb/16 2020

Let’s take a look at the charts of the open positions in my model portfolio initiated Jan 16,2020

I posted my order to buy GWRE on Jan 31 and my AXP order on Feb 6, those are my only two open positions in the portfolio model.

From Jan 16 to date small caps are still losing money as a group, IWM is 1% down from the Jan 16 close.

SPY have done better with a 2% gain since Jan 16.

My model portfolio was kind of lost in the whipsawing period, however it is positive with my two positions, returning 7.09 % and 1.32% respectively

GWRE is my jewel for now

AXP up 1.32%

Short Candidate PLD - Prologis Inc

Esa tendencia de las stocks de agruparse alrededor del ema(21) trabaja a favor del swing trader frecuentemente, al despegue del ema(21) en cualquier dirección se puede especular con bastante éxito si se entra en el momento correcto.

Aquí en el chart de PLD tenemos 4 agrupaciones alrededor del ema(21) desde noviembre que han resultado en cierto movimiento direccional luego de vencer el área del ema.

Ambas muy favorables, luego, el 31 de Enero el precio de PLD cerró un 3.46% a la baja seguido de menos 1.09 el 3 de feb, 4.5% de descenso en el precio en 2 días, bastante para acabar con los beneficios de cualquier especulador a corto plazo.

Ahora PLD está de nuevo agrupándose alrededor del ema(21), como sabemos, nadie pero absolutamente nadie sabe lo que pasará a corto plazo con el precio de cualquier stock de compañía, pero podemos especular en la dirección de mayor probabilidad.

Para short cualquier cierre por debajo del ema(21)  y de 92 es una indicación de iniciar el trade, como no se puede utilizar stops para entrar es una cuestión del momento adecuado.

Nada es imposible para el precio de una stock, igual los niveles de volatilidad de PLD indican por ahora que le dará un poco de trabajo subir de nuevo a los 97 que es el high de los últimos tres meses.

CIO is a REIT, most of the time they are slow moving up, quick moving down.

This is an “as good as it get” bullish formation.

Here you have:

Decreasing volatility

Crossing above several days of moving around the ema(21)

An almost perfect beginning of the uptrend line

The end of a “flag” consolidation

What we’ll need for this to prosper:

A complacent market and group

No unfavorable news, I will prefer no news at all

No genius analyst downgrading the stock

If all of the above comes true we can expect an uptrend at least until the Feb 25 earnings announcement

The trend line should act as support

Yesterday 13.56 low, 2.10% below the 13.86 price is the last support
