SP500 stocks with increasing volatility: 67%

Percentages crossed yesterday

Not necessarily the trend will continue, for now shorts are preferred

Software group pointing to an increasing volatility

Airlines stocks had been increasing volatility since June 20

Machinery group percentages of high/low volatility still point to the long side

Software Industry – Microsoft

Software Bearish percentage has been declining, today the bulls passed the bears to the upside, still soon to tell.

Anyway Microsoft would be a good trade if the tendency continues.

Percentages at week’s end

The side to be is still short, look for a drastic change before going long.

Swing trade for the probabilities side.

As long as the volatility is up, short is the place to be. Keep in mind it can change in a whim, but that is the business.

You know I am a buff for trend lines and moving averages crossovers, but…,  it only works with a favorable market for the trade.

Swing Trading con los porcentajes.

Muy útiles y basados en la volatilidad a plazo intermedio estos porcentajes dan una idea al Swing Trader sobre el momento actual y los grupos más débiles.

El S&P 500 indica baja desde los últimos 8 días

Si filtramos y dejamos fuera los grupos de utilidades y medico/salud, tradicionalmente grupos de “protección”, los porcentajes son un poco mas bajistas.

Es muy buen indicador a la baja cuando los bancos aumentan su volatilidad, dejaron atrás los anuncios de beneficios y ahora es un tema de oferta y demanda.

Las aerolíneas son un buen grupo para vender short en periodos a la baja por su vulnerabilidad a todos los aspectos económicos.

Software no acaba de decidirse.

Para que el downtrend sea duradero y beneficioso al short, todos los grupos deben participar.
